What if they don’t trust the Instructor but aren’t saying so?

Wittgenstein , one of the richest men in Europe, did WW1 as an Artillery officer decorated numerous times for bravery.

In WW2 he anonymously served as a common man helping in a British Hospital .

Courage and Humility are virtues, Intelligence a mere trait.

IQ is a scam from Stanford.

Maybe the curse is getting scammed or feeling cheated?

Do you think this is a spiritual matter? Or are these men just defective genetically?

Do you think a masculine structure like the military can get around this sort of thing?

If this is any reference to the idiotic actions of spergs, this article doesn't apply at all. Being one, I'll explain it. The sperg IQ boost is commonly accompanied by the almost complete absence of social instinct and a few other mental quirks. The end result is most academic topics are easy to grasp, but understanding people is quite difficult.

There is no elaborate mental model of human interaction being produced; there's only surface level observation and the frustrating knowledge that key relevant information is being missed. The information missed is the vast majority of nonverbal communication and nonliteral interpretations of phrases.

The base emotional state of a sperg (mine anyway) could be described as emotionless and it's not uncommon to be misdiagnosed as depression. Emotions that are experienced are absurdly intense to the point of overwhelming. Hence a sperg will rage as well as cry.

The product of all this is a mind not naturally inclined to social interaction. Without training a sperg is naïve, gullible, and constantly frustrated by social interaction. The intelligence isn't the curse, it's the social cluelessness.

Some of this describes Bill Maher -- whom I recently heard labeled perfectly as "intellectually incurious".

And he goes *full* Gamma whenever an interviewee mentions something positive about Trump. So cringe that it is likely not just due to his 💰 motivation.

“Compelling syllogisms to justify” implies that the gamma operates deductively. Vox, you stated numerous times that gammas are smart enough. If they are smart, and if they think deductively through syllogisms, then is the gamma problem possibly either one of false premises or the absence of inductive reasoning? Or both?

Thank you, Vox. Your work is brilliant.

"the best debaters can present either side of an argument almost equally well regardless of whether it is entirely true or totally false"

The first time people do this intentionally, they will probably find it a scary experience.

Anyone; if you have not done this, try it. Its a rewarding (but scary) experience.

Btw: it is one of the great tragedies of mankind that he has the capacity to reason but invariably ends up using that capacity to rationalize his instinctive reactions (or choices).

In the East Asian education system, the heavy emphasis on memorization is kind of an equalizer against IQ. For the precocious kids, they fairly quickly learn that their IQ does not help too much on quiz time. IQ may help in deriving answers instead of memorizing, but only to a degree. They still need to buckle down and put in the work.

The pictograph writing system also requires practice even for the coordinated and detail-oriented. That is another place of doing hard work.

It also teaches the high-IQ the lesson that society does not care too much of their intelligence, and they have to forge their own paths.

I'll give you another one: you must be humble. I mean, do not presume you actually know the whole truth for certain. Even the wisest of the sages does not know all ends.

And don't flatter yourself! You're not the best there is, much less the best one can possibly be!

Isn't it interesting that no one rates or has a rating system for wisdom and yet it is far more important than intellect.

‭Proverbs 9:8-10

[[8] Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you. [9] Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning. [10] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Ruthlessly and relentlessly honest with oneself.

Yep. That is the only way to real salvation.

Because God tells us he uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, those of us who know we possess above average intellectual horsepower should approach it humbly rather than with pride.

Intelligence can be thought of like any other power or status amplifier such as wealth, social privilege, physical superiority, etc. These are like the parable of the talents and if we are given them, much will be required. God could use a person of low intellect to make a fool of me, and I need to keep that firmly in mind at all times. Whatever gifts we are given are for the glory of God, and not our own.
