Can confirm, a long time friend was a detective in a large metropolitan Police department. He started in the Sex Crimes Unit, or as he called it: "The Dirty Sex Police".

He stated flatly that 90% of his workload was separating bullshit accusations from genuine ones.

Managment was well aware of the ratio but said that it was politcally untenable to drop the hammer on false accusers.

Additionally, I served on a jury where we (eventually) acquitted a defendant of rape. The accuser was lying through her teeth and we could all see it: the three women on the jury were *immediately* and *vehemently* in the: "that little bitch is lying" camp. Within minutes it was 11-1 Not Guilty.

The one hold out was a girl-dad with three daughters who maintained that "I can't beleiven that any woman would lie about rape". Eyerolls aplenty in the jury room.

He finally relented after we made him listen to the accuser's 911 call, where she clearly and intentionally lied (based on subsequent testimony and evidence).

We played it over and over until the message sunk in.

Oddly enough, to external appearancea he looked high SMV: tall, good looking, athletic...looked alpha.

Until he opened his mouth.

Also: women face absolutely no repercussions for false rape allegations. It's a win-win for women.

A friend of mine worked for the police and he once had a chat with his female colleague who interviews alleged rape victims. She assumes that more than 90 % of allegations are completely made up. Yet the police are discouraged from having stats concerning the issue or from even prosecuting the women.

One very striking thing the female police officer said was when she corners the women and it's blatantly obvious that they are lying, she frequently hears things like "We girls gotta stick together." The shamelessness is through the roof.
