Did you read his advice post to young men convincing them not to get married? He bragged about raising his step-sons to hate their mom and never get married. He also bragged about dumping a private conversation between his step-daughter and his ex-wife, where his step-daughter was complaining about how awful he is, to his step-daughters boyfriend in order to get them to break up.
In the comments section, a licensed therapist told him he's nuts and to get help because of what he did to his step-daughter. And he responded exactly as you described, calling the therapist out for white knighting.
If his "afraid of me" equals "annoyed by me," then yes. Dude doesn't appear to be super bright. I'm no paragon of intellect myself, but I do know a gamma dork when I see one!
