Number Two is a hard one to overcome. You weren’t given the tools to recognize when you’re on the wrong path. Then learning ‘how to drive’ finally figuring out the direction.
I had a late start in all this. I’ve had to be extremely disciplined to even catch up.
My sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your beloved friend. May the pain of loss fade swiftly and leave you all with the comforting memories of time well spent together.
Never read or watched anything from Peterstein but I'm 99% sure whatever his 12 rules are, it's something like 20% obvious common sense, 30% self-absorbed diatribe and 50% gay sh-t. Maybe the ratios are wrong, maybe it's all gay. "Clean the cum stains in your room" etc. You could add a 13th point to your list: don't take "lifestyle advice" from life's biggest failures.
My condolences on the loss of your best friend Vox.
As I’m in the middle of reading Sea of Skulls now, I wonder if this has ever occurred to you, as an author who has to write from a non-human perspective: Elves might view us the same way we do our pets. We will be born, grow to maturity, age, and die. While the elf looks about the same through it all.
Have you ever considered publishing a poster with these rules? I’d love to buy one for my kid.
If you can sell 60,000 and pull of a $25 profit margin you can make a cool 1.5M. It can’t be 1/10 of as much work as publishing a book.
Have never gone more than a couple of months in my 63 years without a dog. And will leave this world with one near me physically or emotionally.
Fantastic list

Excellent advice Vox. Also, comiseration on the recent loss of one of your dogs.
Heaven has dogs, naturally.
But cats watch the gates.
The title reminded me of those Ten Second Abs commercials.
Just an observation, not meant as an insult. Have a good ‘un. Happy trails.
> And yes, all dogs go to Heaven, obviously, because Heaven would not be paradise without them.
i’ve heard it said that dogs are proof of Gods love, and cats are a reminder not to take ourselves too seriously.
Heaven must have dogs.
My sincere condolences.

It was with great grief I read about the loss. My condolences.

I needed this. Thanks, SDL.
It seems so obvious when you read this but I probably wouldn't have been able to coherently write this.
The thought of young men accessing this knowledge really makes me appreciate your contribution. Thank you.

Tolkien himself had Elrond trying to explain this to Arwen in the LotR Appendices.
Read Opera Vita Aeterna in Summa Elvetica. I specifically address that topic there.
Thanks. Will check it out
