Well, thanks for linking us to the Master Wu-Wei Jokes blog. I see no controversy in his views about the snake, which incidentally are not original to him. This interpretation is pretty much foundational in any system of self improvement and mysticism. He is right, there is no evil ‘outside’ us. There is belief in a permanent entity that we interpret as our ultimate nature this belief is one of the root causes of dissatisfaction and even suffering. It’s one of the faces of ignorance. Nothing to see here really.
You could not be more wrong. Your philosophy is false, your epistemology is nonexistent, and your theology is terrible. The denial of material, external evil is the certain sign of a snake.

There is nothing circular about it. You’re not even making an argument. All you’ve offered is a series of obviously and observably false statements. You’re in well over your head here.
Maybe. But all I’ve heard from you as regards this topic is an appeal to authority and opinions. So we seem to be at exactly the same level.

That’s quite the sustained personal attack on someone who’s just exchanged the best part of ten sentences with you. Not a good look sigma boy. In fact you seem to display quite resentful behaviour.

Notice how there is no substance in anything that the snake said. Although I gave him the benefit of the doubt in the exchange, I very much doubt this was genuinely the midwit enamoured of some generic Eastern mysticism that he was pretending to be.
First, notice how he’s defending the idea that evil doesn’t exist, and asserting that what passes for evil is just ignorance and dissatisfaction. As I pointed out in the previous post, evil always seeks to cloak itself and the denial of its existence, even in the face of undeniable evidence, is a reliable tell. It is the unmistakable stink of sulfur. Never, ever, tolerate anyone in your life who spouts that sort of wickedness.
Second, look at the bizarre claim that the satanic views about the snake being the ego are “pretty much foundational in any system of self improvement and mysticism.” Deceivers always try very hard to keep things general. He can’t make any specific claim, because he can’t know if anyone here is going to be able to call him on them.
Now, I’m an East Asian Studies major. I speak and read Japanese. I know the differences between the teachings of Confucius, Lao-Tzu, Mencius, and Mozi. And I’m even somewhat familiar with a number of the different Indian philosophies, including two of which you’ve probably never heard. So it’s very easy for me to see when someone is posturing about something that doesn’t even exist.
Deceivers always try to keep things general and unspecific for fear that they will be caught out by someone capable of spotting their manufactured details. Which generality is, of course, a useful identifier. Whenever I notice someone keeping things general and I want to confirm they are a deceiver, I simply ask a few seemingly innocent questions. When they evade them, I know exactly what I’m dealing with.
The honest and the innocent always answer substantively. Deceivers seldom do.
Third, we are obviously dealing with a Gamma here. He immediately tries to go personal the moment he encounters pushback. I made five straightforward assertions and he didn’t even try to deny any of them. Instead, he went for the disqualification, which frankly tends to indicate that he never bothered to read much of the content here.
Then, when I didn’t retreat and continued to point out the obvious, he tried to deflect and equate his lack of substance with what he falsely implied was my lack of substance. This is downright comical, considering that I am literally a bestselling philosopher and had just posted the seventh part of my outline of an original metaphysics system a few hours before. I particularly enjoyed how he was even sufficiently ruffled to unleash the ultimate Gamma tell, which I don’t need to point out to anyone here.
None of this is new, of course. The wicked anklebiters will always be with us, and we know what to do with them.
