P&L is irrelevant. They make these movies for their master and for themselves. They hate you. Feminism is antihuman, and this is just an expression of it. Their hate for you is only eclipsed by their master’s hate for them. They’ll continue making these until their master kicks them from his high horse.
With temperatures approaching 100 degrees this weekend, I wanted to take my 8-year-old boy to the movies. Since we already saw He-man, the only other options were Supergirl, satanic Minions and Monsters, or Toy Story 5, where the female character is the heroine, not Woody, or Buzz. Luckily I found a $2 Sunday feature which is a throwback to the 80’s. This July 4th weekend, we will be celebrating full on freedom for boys by watching “The Goonies”. I don’t even mind if they soak me for $25 bucks for candy, popcorn and a soda. I will happily pay it.
I know a woman in Barcelona won ran a feminist bookshop close to Palau de la Musica that went out of business. She's great fun to be around with because she's has mental problems that she openly shares with everyone. Of course, she blamed men for not buying her feminist books and she after a few questions she told me she didn't carry 50 Shades of Grey or other types of books that women like to buy.
I recently found out the Wachowski brothers ripped off the script and the story from a devout Christian. That's why the original worked, because it's a retelling of the Christian stories. Those weirdos could have never come up with something that cool.
I've been saying this for awhile. Humans as batteries make no sense, but if the machines used our brains the way we use computers now, that makes perfect sense; because human and artificial intelligence have different pros and cons.
After the fact that the male audience was more or less split on Superman last year, did they really think guys, who couldn’t bother to go see the superior version of this character, would go watch this insufferable chick who looks like she’s perpetually underwater for two hours of their day? A guy can get a lot of work done in two hours. Just sayin.
"With the official numbers now in, it made...$37 million domestically. And as a result the studio now stands to lose hundreds of millions of dollars, considering the massive production and advertising costs."
Someone's gotta be keeping a financial tally on these losses. Imagine all the money losers since Ghostbusters (2016) onward. We could easily be looking at losses in the billions. Yet they continue to march forward toward oblivion. With the valuable IP acting as mere fuel for their funeral pyre.
I remember E. Michael Jones writing how much of the Boomer degeneracy of the 1960s-1970s was partially funded and orchestrated by the CIA. How they encouraged film studios to make pimps and drugs culturally acceptable. A big difference from that era and now is that former material was largely profitable. Sex does indeed sell. A cruel tool to direct American culture for purposes of social engineering. The current flavor of contemporary messaging is both hated and financially ruinous. So you do have to think Uncle Sam is somehow picking up the tab in some discreet under-the-counter way. Otherwise you'd think these studios would've gone bankrupt years ago.
Funny thing is that hollywood story used to have a fair share of women heroes in action movies. Every body fucking loved Sarah Conner and Ellen Ripley. Both strong woman, but without a fucking chip on their shoulders all the time, and without all the entitlement and bratiness of modern female personages.
Maybe everybody is tired of spoiled rich girlbosses.
They could make a lot of money if they made a traditional superhero movie with a strong male lead with a strong moral code-- Superman came pretty close and did pretty well. Of course, their moral code of wokery prevents that so we get endless deconstructions. But the Spider-Man movies still have him doing hero stuff, even if he does whine about it beforehand.
As you say there isn't a huge audience for this kind of stuff--the boys want to watch a boy or man, the girls want to watch romance or drama with pretty sets. But Alcock didn't help things by pissing off the potential audience ahead of time.
They'll never give up their fight against submitting to the truth that normal punters don't have any desire to spend their time and money watching women beat up men.
The Matrix did pretty well. Of course it had really good special effects (for the era) and some fun philosophical bits.
But yeah, Hollywood keeps pushing the femdom for political reasons thing even though the actual reverse kink is much more common.
The irony is this movie has a rare case it actually makes sense--she's Superman's cousin! OK, maybe she can only lift a medium-size skyscraper instead of a big one like Clark?
I saw it. The funny thing is, it was such an obvious cash grab even the Wachowskis themselves made fun of it in the movie--the Matrix is a video game that's immensely popular and they are trying to make an unwanted sequel for the money.
The model for a successful female-led super hero movie is Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman. While I despise super hero movies and feminism generally, the template for success is there. If an actress wishes to play such a role, she should look at what works and, through gritted teeth if necessary, play the role and promote the film accordingly.
As I age, certain things stand out. Feminists hate men, but demand that the people they hate pay for and work for them. When the rather unattractive lady complained about the "male gaze" and how she felt like an object to be looked at, that was the first time I thought about supergirl in decades.
Now I am being blamed for not going to a movie that the writers and actors did not want me to, for a character I have little interest in, in a venue that is dangerous and uncomfortable (I go to one theater in town, and it has armed guards and an open carry policy).
So why should I care? The last movie I saw in the theater was Hail Mary, and it was very much worth it. Not sure the next I will see.

One very interesting observation made by the RedPill community is how feminism provides an avenue for inter-female warfare. The uglies will use feminism to curtal the hotties sexual market value. They'll blast slogans on why all women should cut their hair and get nose piercings. And in doing so try to artificially inflate their own SMV. Which helps explain why fashion these days is so ugly.

As much as I personally detest James Gunn and have been boycotting his movies for years, he's a competent writer / director.
But if they expected me to see this movie, let them be reminded of the James Gunn boycott.
You have to wonder how many people watch this slop out of sheer hatred. Critics probably did a better job than their marketing campaign.

I read a rumor that the original script was humans weren't batteries, but used as a neural net.
Which makes far more sense than the energy concept.
I've been saying this for awhile. Humans as batteries make no sense, but if the machines used our brains the way we use computers now, that makes perfect sense; because human and artificial intelligence have different pros and cons.
What was the story that was ripped off?
The Matrix?
Patriarchy, for feminists, is the essential binary opposite, as vital as capitalists are to communism, Yang to Yin, Republican to Democrat, etc.
Without Patriarchy, feminists would have to be accountable. This. Is. Anathema.
Every failure, every loss, every manifestation of incompetence, stupidity, and magical thinking-all explained away by Patriarchy.
Of course-the fruit is the function, and the wretched offal of feminist truck offends all the same, explanations notwithstanding.
Never get high on your own blatant lie.
I used to be outraged and bothered by people's retardery. Then I got my driver's license.

The more important question is, who are the schmucks losing all that money funding these failures.
What did you imagine some of that USAid money was marked for?

Alcock convinced men that the movie would be excruciating to sit through, instead of just being another boring chick-flick.

They tried rebooting the Matrix film franchise a few years ago. I'm told it was garbage and failed financially. The original was very enjoyable.

Imagine wasting your time to watch that garbage
Or worse, your money.

New styles of women's clothing is beyond cartoonish. Barrel pants, short bell bottoms that make legs look like tree stumps? What are they thinking...
