Sigma Mission Complex
Action is a Sigma attribute
Being outside the hierarchy necessarily means being self-reliant. The combination of being a social outcast and unable to trust others means that the Sigma knows that if he is going to achieve or obtain anything, he is going to have to do it himself. When he sees something as desirable, his first thought is “how do I do that” rather than the Alpha’s “who is the right man for the job” or the Gamma’s “somebody else should do what I think should be done”.
And, of course, his mindset is distinct from the Delta’s, because the Delta doesn’t do anything until someone tells him to do it, if it’s not already within the purview of what he sees as his job.
Of course, Sigmas tend to be highly competent, so if they start to do something, they’ll usually finish it in a satisfactory manner. The challenge for the Sigma is usually opportunity cost; is completing one mission really worth the sacrifice of two or three other missions?
Anyhow, this is prelude to something I threw together this morning, in which you may or may not be moved to take part. As you know, the mainstream media, the genre media, and social media have been maintaining a strong wall of silence about accusations by two women who claim to have been sexually assaulted by the SJW celebrity and Apex Gamma Neil Gaiman. Although he’s not quite a mainstream figure, he’s probably the biggest celebrity in the SF/F genre and a hugely symbolic critic of normalcy, tradition, Western civilization, and Christianity.
So, the possibility that he is, as he has publicly fantasized, a metaphorical wolf in rainbow ally livery is a very significant blow to the creative side of Clown World. Hence the wall of silence. However, to their credit, a number of the freaks and geeks have been willing to go against the Narrative and stand up for the alleged victims of the man.
That does not, however, mean that they will permit just anyone to do so. Just yesterday, I was blocked from commenting on r/neilgaimanuncovered and banned from the SJW Twitter alternative Bluesky for the thoughtcrime of being me. Seriously, I hadn’t even come close to breaking any rules, the Reddit moderator cited Wikipedia as the reason for banning me. Which was neither a surprise nor a disappointment, just SJWs being SJWs, of course, but of course, one of the besetting sins of the Gamma is the inability to shut up and take the win.
I was perfectly content to simply post my thoughts on the continuing developments - and they will be continuing, there’s no doubt about that - here and on my personal blog, while using the two subreddits as data resources. I even deleted all my comments on both r/neilgaimanuncovered and r/neilgaiman since I was blocked on the former and no longer intended to participate on the latter.
But, as I said, the Gamma is intrinsically unable to leave well enough alone. As usual, the Gamma gets things factually wrong, while smugly telling falsehoods.
GAMMA: Oof wtf? And he’s playing the victim in his blog for being blocked here. Krispy Kreme Komandos are always so predictable.
SIGMA: I'm not blocked here. Nor am I a victim. Both I and my tens of thousands of fans simply find it ironic that the r/neilgaimanuncovered moderator simultaneously laments the silence of so many people in SF/F about Neil Gaiman while silencing me because those same people in SF/F seeded Wikipedia with lies about me.
I think my participation here is distracting, so I am pursuing an angle more in keeping with my role as a publisher by speaking with my connections at Random House and other publishing houses that publish Mr. Gaiman. They are now fully aware of the situation.
I removed my previous comments here, and so long as I am not the subject, I will continue to refrain from commenting here.
GAMMA: "Playing the victim in his blog" is literally that dude's only professional skill
SIGMA: I'm not a victim. I've also sold more than six million computer games, have written
twothree Billboard Top 40 Club Chart hits, and currently publish some of the most beautiful books in the world. Don't believe everything SFWA and Wikipedia tells you. After all, did they tell you the truth about Neil Gaiman?
Annoying, but not even remotely surprising. It will be interesting to see if they’re able to shut up and disengage or not. I assume not, but we’ll see; the fact that they’re literally breaking the rules of the subreddit to libel me doesn’t seem to slow them down at all.
Anyhow, last night I did the regular Weekly Meme Review, which is not at all indicative of how often I do them, and one UATV subscriber submitted the following meme, and even posted it on one of the subreddits.
Which caused the following line of thought to occur to me:
Since r/neilgaiman doesn’t allow any discussion of the man’s behavior or the accusations against him and r/neilgaimanuncovered only allows discussion of the man’s behavior or the accusations against him by feminists, freaks, and their approved allies, someone should simply create a subreddit where anyone can share memes, news, and thoughts about the Gaiman controversy, the wall of silence, and the man’s work.
Ergo r/neilgaimanmemes. Have a look. If you’re interested in helping shatter the insidious wall of silence, become a member, vote for your favorite memes, and perhaps even try your hand at creating one or two. I don’t care what your motivations are, and you needn’t concern yourself about mine. If you’re opposed to rape, sexual assault, grooming, and the protection of celebrities who engage in those activities, that’s good enough for me.
I created a few of the first memes there. This was based on Moira Greyland’s book about her abuse at the hands of her celebrity mother, Marion Zimmer Bradley.
But others are already contributing original memes, such as this Dragonball Z meme addressing creepiness levels never before witnessed among earthlings.
Think of the whole thing as an SSH exercise in realtime. Who knows what will happen? Reddit might nuke the whole thing or it might end up becoming bigger than the original r/neilgaiman, if the original subreddit continues to try to bury the stories as more women continue to come forward. But regardless, you’ll definitely get a useful view on how Gammas behave in their natural habitat.

I got a very alarming red alert to let me know the content of this reddit has not been reviewed. Game on. This will be fun. :)
The founder of reddit sits on the board of the ADL. That is the real truth as to why reddit is the way that it is. They have "rules" in place and "votes" in place to lend community legitimacy to the positions they have decided they will support and they just engineer the community itself to get the desired outcomes. If you test with multiple accounts, you can prove that the karma is not accurate an depiction of the votes. With a little bit of arm twisting via selective moderation and vote manipulation, they can produce a tipping point where contrary views are so unaccepted that weak people will change their views to match the community or people with strong views that are contrary will quit and the result is an apparent group consensus for views that are radical and not mainstream.
By being a fraudulent form of democracy, they perfectly embody real democracy which works this way as well.
