Sigma Game is published
After 16 years, the book is complete
It’s taken a long time, but I hope it will be deemed worth the wait. SIGMA GAME: The Complete Socio-Sexual Hierarchy is now available on Amazon in Kindle, KU, and Audible formats, and is going out to the backers today.
It will be at least a month before we even start on the print editions, both hardcover and leather, as is our custom, since we like to take advantage of having thousands of pairs of eyes on the text rather than just ten or so. But the ebook will be sent out to all of the print edition backers, so you don’t have to wait to read it unless you prefer to do so.
It’s a little thinner on some categories than others, although at 469 pages and nearly 13 hours in audio format, I prefer to think of it as diving deeper into where there happens to be more material available. Thanks to the commenters of this blog, I have a whole chapter devoted to various scenarios where readers asked me for advice and I was able to transform the specific situational recommendation into a more general principle. And while a lot of it will be familiar to readers here, there is a fair amount of material that will be new even if you’ve been reading since the old Alpha Game days.
Your mileage will almost certainly vary, but I suspect that Chapter Nineteen: SSH as a Corporate Tool will prove to be the most valuable chapter, as it lays the initial groundwork for a new theory of organizational management that could be more effective over time than any management fad since Peter Drucker. It may even, over time, be developed to the point where it requires a dedicated book of its own.
But that’s neither here nor there. In the meantime, I’ll be interested to know what the longtime readers here think of it. The early readers appeared to think that it mostly lived up to their expectations, but only you can be the judge of that.

“It may even, over time, be developed to the point where it requires a dedicated book of its own.”
To be honest, most things you talk about require a dedicated book of its own. Because most popular books with their popular advice is horse shit. I kid you not, looking back at my life there is a clear point of upward trajectory from the time I discovered your blog and your writing. And I’m probably not alone.
So as long as you keep writing books, we are going to keep buying them.
