Hypergamouse is Go!
You can now back the Hypergamouse book
The HYPERGAMOUSE campaign is now live on Kickstarter. For those interested in the Sigma Game book, it is available to backers as an add-on, as are a 5-pack of assorted hardcovers and a 12-pack of various paperbacks from Arkhaven Comics. HYPERGAMOUSE is arguably one of the best comic strips commenting on human nature and the human condition since the PEANUTS epic came to an end, so these first edition books promise to be real collector’s editions over time. And, of course, it’s an easy way of learning some of the basics of the SSH and seeing how they play out in daily life.
Also, if you’re a Sigma Game subscriber, it may be worth noting that backing the HYPERGAMOUSE crowdfund is an excellent way to support the site, since we still haven’t turned on the paid subscriptions yet that so many of you have already graciously signed up for.
UPDATE: Thanks so much to all of the backers who helped us hit the target in just 10 hours from the initial launch! Arkhaven Comics is pleased to announce that the first stretch goal will be the addition of an illustrated essay on the art of HYPERGAMOUSE by illustrator Lacey Fairchild . This will add an additional 8 pages to both the regular editions and the coffee table book. This stretch goal will be added when the campaign hits CHF 30,000, or around $35,000.

I'm selling my fedora collection to donate. I don't need it anymore!
"an illustrated essay about the art of drawing the comic written by the illustrator Lacey Fairchild"
Yeah, now that's what I'm talking about. You know what I like best about Hypergamouse artwork? The economy of style. The comic aren't heavily detailed, yet they include *just* the right details for the message and feeling.
Like in this one, the discarded shoes and emptied wine glass in the third panel emphasize the character's loneliness: https://www.arkhaven.com/comics/comedy/hypergamouse/18-party-time
And in this one in the last panel the way Doof's coat looks like a threatening aura about to envelope the two women which conveys how they feel about him, and the way his hair swings out behind his head suggests how awesome he is *in his own head*: https://www.arkhaven.com/comics/comedy/hypergamouse/21-the-new-look
You could have gotten the messages and jokes of these comics across with stick figures. We are lucky to have quality artwork to go with it.
