While the text to speech was reading this, I was already anticipating what will happen next to the gamma. So when it came to naming the lacrosse player my mind guessed 'Tyler' at the same time it spoke. I had to suppress a laugh. Vox, we know you too well or the pattern is becoming so obvious even to us barely literates. This is really good.

This is the best fiction I've ever read.

Women talk about getting "the ick". I think I now understand what it feels like.

ick.

This is how a Warhammer 40k Inquisitor should be written. Except Esinhorn.

Ugh, that was just painful. Talk about a complete lack of self-awareness. Shoot your shot first chance you get. If she says no, just move on. Any amount of dwelling isn't healthy, even if you think it is.

Hope this moron got tore up.

You just wait til Werewolf Lives Matter finds out about this

Reading the first couple of paragraphs, I thought this would've been something silly and concocted. Didn't realise the supernatural world setting which drew me in. The gamma narrative was super hilarious as well. Brilliant story!

Read this, and the other intros. Talked to a computer pro. Decided to give DeepSeek a try. First ran it on the Cosmological Argument, which it responded to very well, and clearly, and added to my knowledge. Brought up a point in an unclear way, and it took it and ran with it in a different but useful way. (Mentioned that Vox had called it 'his new BF' and it responded by saying that was high praise, and DS and Vox both enjoyed unflinching precision, and steelmanning tough arguments but he would leave the tribal warfare to Vox as he was all about pure reason himself. Still haven't done the jump to do a story, but I should. Might work well as I am an idea fountain.

The only possible way Elise could resist the allure of "The Hunter" - and, unbeknownst to the reader, Secret King - would be if she was under the supernatural hypnotic power of the diabolic Tyler. And this, dear reader, "The Hunter" considers to be a fate worse than death.

The most unsettling thing about this is that some monsters really do exist.

Given your disdain for all things gamma, I'm surprised you would even entertain – let alone publish –something like this.

There are many paths to the truth.

No, it's pure genius. The Hunter's whole perspective of the story only exists in his head. The reality is, he's the bad guy.

Like a darker version of Don Quixote.

This may well be buried, but since one is leaning on the AI, a similar tale of a hunter with each different SSH rank as the main character would be interesting. Normally stories aren't so clear of a one to one comparison of different rank in same role after all...

It's almost as though from the woman's perspective the story just shifted genres.

She went from: Twilight-adjacent romantasy where the girl with secret special powers gets sniffed out by the werewolf but instead of becoming prey, it turns out she's his perfect mate,

to: a serial-killer/ stalker story that begins with having her boyfriend murdered in front of her.

Well done; I'm looking forward to future installments.

That first line made me scream in my head, but when I read it to my husband he laughed.

Reading this has the same draw as watching Michael Scott of The Office. Can't look away from the wreck.

"Elise turned the corner, her dark hair catching"

Why does she work at a diner?

Why does she dye her hair to be blonde in the pictures?

How does he know it's acktually dark at the roots?

Snowyteller's avatar

The hidden truth that compared to the blondes or the gingers of the gamma, the AI likes a dark haired celtic beauty.

"Why does she work at a diner?"

Whatever it is, it's worth being there 7 nights a week.
