Probably the biggest “red pill” moment for me was realizing that almost everything I thought was grassroots about our culture was thoroughly astroturfed, *especially* those the clownworld media praises for their "authenticity" and humble beginnings. The real artists get kicked off the bankster-rolled platforms -- and the best of those go on to create their own. (Shout out to Unauthorized.tv and Castalia House Publishing!)

The tough thing for the Delta is they rarely have their own gig and their genuine desire for creating quality often scrapes against their benefactors goals. In the context of the song the guy should be happy to have the opportunity to create something truly his. If he's really good he can be a studio musician but then of course he'll lament about the WRONG direction he had to endure in the studio.

Wow, Vox. Not one of your normal styles but man does this sound polished. Very clean, edgy, just the right amount of aggressiveness to deliver that solid Delta bitterness across the finish line. It's great fun to listen to and reminds me of so many great musicians I've had the honor to play alongside, who'd all decided NOT to take the ticket.

Just being able to create & listen to your own music and simultaneously raise the bar for all that come after must be incredibly satisfying. Thanks for choosing to share your art with us. Excellent tune!!

That song is dope!!! This reminds me of a video Rick Beato did regarding hundreds of artists that produce amazing songs that never get heard. He plays a few of them and they blow you away. Kinda sad, actually.

It's only sad if you're making music for fame or whatever. For me, 90 percent of the satisfaction is just being able to hear it when it's done. Because even if it's created with AI, it wouldn't exist if I didn't do it.

I'm extremely pleased with this one, even though it's not my style of music at all.

I meant sad for the rest of us who might never get to hear such great works of art and talent. Great job on this one, Vox.💪🏽

It's pretty accurate. I know a violinist, top of his class, he was a friend's brother and he would rehearse literally day and night, certainly every time I was at my friend's house. Took top places in concerts and talent shows when teenager. Just good musician. Deadbeat now. Girl in his class is now a famous cokehead pop diva. Those two immediately came to mind when I listened.

I read a book once where the protagonist was captured and thrust into a society where his work was stolen from him and handed to the poor. The whole city was a wreck and everything was putrid and gross. The character spent his years working his own gigs at night by playing on the corruption of the rulers and amassed untold piles of gold. He eventually overthrew the ruling class and walked away from the burning city.

Given Vox Day's output, I am starting to suspect that he doesn't sleep.

Send this tune to Chris Stapleton. His reaction would be interesting.

Is the song not an Alpha song because Alphas are more likely to sell out for fame and influence? How is it not a Bravo song?

CharismaVacuum's avatar

Alphas don't "sell out" for things that come to them by nature.

Absolutely spot on!

New spin on the Delta blues…

ZING! Man, that's a good one, Uncle John. Made me laugh out loud, tickled the funnybone.

My old timer delta buddy is always complaining about how bosses won't let him do things the right way. He's a total delta narcissist but he's not wrong, even if his standards are a bit extreme.
