Initial impressions are not always reliable
It can be remarkable how things can go wrong based on missing information. On the one hand, sometimes people fail to inform others that they happen to be involved with someone, or are engaged, or even married.
On the other, it’s always dangerous to make assumptions about two people simply because they happen to be affectionate. Charles Barkley once apologized very handsomely to me for trying to hit a female friend of mine who was waiting for me in a gym lobby. After seeing how effusively she greeted me; he understandably, but incorrectly, assumed that we were together.
Of course, given that he was a) very much not her type and b) married, we did not disabuse him of his incorrect notion. Although I have to admit that I was initially rather confused as to why this very famous, very large man was shaking my hand and apologizing to me.

Guy I knew liked one girl and he told her. She said she was seeing someone and he said, "That's fine. I don't want to be right now. I just want to be next."
Man bun mouse!
