Gammas are the only members of the hierarchy who don’t instinctively react negatively to Sigmas. This is because they erroneously see aspects of themselves in the Sigma, and as we’ve seen on YouTube, TikTok, and in the comments of this site, they frequently tend to harbor sneaking suspicions that they just might be Sigmas themselves.
After all, they, too, didn’t go to the office party. And they, too, incline toward the intelligent and the introverted.
Of course, in their desire to make friends and bond with their fellow “Sigmas”, they illustrate that they have absolutely no idea what being a Sigma entails, or how their needy, deeply-sensitive psychology is about as close to the polar opposite of the Sigma mindset as it gets. Gammas simply cannot fathom that the Sigma is not a social reject or an involuntary outcast, that he isn’t seething with envy or anger, that he doesn’t feel victimized, or that he is not looking to make new friends with whom to plot a rebellion against the stupid Alphas whose misrule isn ‘t anywhere nearly as glorious as the Gamma imagines his own reign would be.
Which, of course, is why the Gamma tends to be hurt and angry when the Sigma inevitably rejects the Gamma’s friendly overtures and distances himself from the Gamma. The journey from “biggest fan” to “inveterate hater dedicated to exposing the fraud” is a short and disturbingly common one among Gammas.
Sharp: “Sigma is not a social reject or an involuntary outcast, that he isn’t seething with envy or anger, that he doesn’t feel victimized”
